CPAFMA Launches Missouri Chapter

Published October 9, 2018
The CPA Firm Management Association (CPAFMA) is proud to announce the launch of the CPAFMA Missouri Chapter, serving firm managers throughout the state. Championed by Amanda Simmonds of Brown Smith Wallace LLP in St. Louis, firm managers recently gathered at the Missouri Society of CPAs' offices where Andrew Grow, Director of Membership & Business Development helped identify potential leaders and spread the word about the Society's partnership with the Association. The new chapter has been created with the support of seven founding member firms, chief operating officers, firm administrators and practice managers in the state. CPAFMA's Missouri Chapter is empowering all CPA firms to thrive by expanding knowledge, sharing experiences, achieving through collaboration, influencing leadership and envisioning possibilities.

“The formation of a chapter in the heart of the Midwest is very timely and exciting. Simmonds is an amazing leader and having served as the Chair of the Society's Firm Administrator's Community makes it a perfect fit,” said Tiffany Taft, PAFM, CPAFMA's Director of Chapter Development and Firm Administrator at Baker Holtz in Michigan.

The new chapter, part of the long-established network of CPAFMA Chapters, is strategically located to draw support from CPA firms and firm leaders throughout the heartland of the United States. Founding firms include:

Abeles & Hoffman, PC
Brown Smith Wallace, LLP
BWTP P.C.
Howe & Company, CPA, P.C.
Kerber, Eck & Braeckel LLP
Marks Nelson Vohland Campbell Radetic LLC
Swink, Smith, Coplen & Company, P.C.

The Missouri Chapter of CPAFMA will focus on building relationships and dialogue about operational, talent, management, and strategical issues impacting firms and CPAs.

“My goal is to support the Missouri Chapter as their members become active and engaged in the local community, dedicated to the goals of CPAFMA and the members throughout the state, including fostering greater learning and awareness of the talents that build firm practice management success," said Taft.

Anyone in Missouri, or the surrounding states, who may be interested in elevating firm practice management is welcome to join CPAFMA.
