Key Responsibilities:

  • Integration of Acquired Businesses:
  • Support the integration of newly acquired teams by aligning HR practices, policies, and systems with Hansen Hunter standards.
  • Partner with leadership to ensure smooth onboarding, consistent communication, and cultural alignment during transitions.
  • Serve as a point of contact for HR-related questions and coordination throughout the integration process.
  • Talent Management:
  • Develop and execute strategies for talent acquisition, retention, and development.
  • Lead performance management and succession planning efforts in partnership with business leaders.
  • Employee Relations and Engagement:
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work culture through proactive communication, engagement initiatives, and conflict resolution.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees on HR-related matters.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Maintain employee handbooks, HR policies, and required reporting documentation.
  • Policy and Process Standardization:
  • Establish consistent, scalable HR policies and processes across all departments and locations.
  • Ensure policies are well-documented, communicated, and consistently applied.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience working in a financial professional services firm, particularly one offering a full range of accounting and advisory services (e.g., audit, tax, bookkeeping, billing, and cost reporting), is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated success building or scaling an HR function in a growing or evolving company.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, compliance, and HR best practices, including California-specific HR rules and regulations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution.
