Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Managing Director with a strong background in public accounting. This individual will work closely with the CEO to support firm operations, lead team productivity, and drive strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, possesses strong analytical and critical thinking skills, and anticipates the needs of both leadership and the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day firm operations and ensure efficient workflow across teams
  • Utilize QuickBooks and Karbon (or similar workflow platforms) to manage client engagements and internal processes
  • Partner with the CEO to develop and implement strategic goals and initiatives
  • Monitor and analyze firm performance metrics to support data-driven decision making
  • Anticipate the needs of the CEO and proactively manage priorities, scheduling, and communications
  • Foster a culture of accountability, efficiency, and excellence within the team
  • Support business development efforts and client relationship management
  • Identify areas for improvement in systems, processes, and service delivery

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in a CPA firm
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and familiarity with Karbon or similar workflow/project management systems
  • Strong analyticalcritical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and anticipate needs in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • CPA designation is a plus, but not required
