Course Description

CPAFMA recently concluded their 2022 Firm Manager Compensation and Benefits Survey focused on the firm manager position in a CPA firm. We are pleased to host this conversation surrounding the survey results and those registering will be sent the recording and results that afternoon. This conversation between a veteran firm manager and her HR Manager will provide helpful insights and a high-level overview of the survey data results to assist in your compensation planning process. Arm yourself with the latest information to benchmark your organization and take advantage of compensation and benefits trends in the accounting profession.

Presenter and Moderator Bios
Speaker: Claire Dillard Harrell, SHRM-CP, HR Manager, Hannis T. Bourgeois, LLP

Claire Dillard Harrell, SHRM-CP serves as the HR Manager for Hannis T. Bourgeois, LLP (HTB) a Certified Public Accounting firm with over 140 employees and offices located in Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Denham Springs, and Hammond, Louisiana. Claire manages strategic recruitment, employee retention and supervises all the HR functions and duties of the firm. This dedication to employee engagement has led HTB to be named one of the Best Places to Work in the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Area six years and counting. Claire earned a B.S. and M.S. in Accounting from Louisiana State University. Beginning her career in Assurance for a large regional public accounting firm, Claire’s has walked in the shoes of her fellow professionals that she is mentoring and recruiting. Claire found she enjoyed the people side of accounting and eventually earned her SHRM-CP certification. Claire is a member of the Greater Baton Rouge SHRM and CPAFMA. She resides in Baton Rouge with Taylor, her husband, and welcomed her first daughter, Jules, in 2021. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and spending time with friends.

Speaker: Lauren McCall Fitch, J.D., Chief Operating Officer, Hannis T. Bourgeois, LLP

Lauren McCall Fitch, J.D. currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer for Hannis T. Bourgeois, LLP a Certified Public Accounting firm with over 140 employees and offices located in Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Denham Springs, and Hammond, Louisiana. Lauren graduated from LSU with her B.S. in Business Administration then went on to graduate magna cum laude from Southern University Law Center. Fitch has over 13 years of professional experience mainly focused in managing technology infrastructure, internal financial operations, recruiting, business development, and risk management. Lauren is a member of several business and civic organizations including the Metro Board of the YMCA, Louisiana Bar Association, and a Board member of the CPA Firm Management Association (CPAFMA). Lauren was recognized as 2016 “Forty Under 40” by the Baton Rouge Business Report. Her proudest achievement is being the wife of Derek Fitch and mother to her three children Beckett, Rivers, and Adley. She can be found traveling, reading, or on a tennis court when she’s not watching her children compete in sports.

Delivery System

  • All programs are delivered using the Zoom platform.
  • Confirmations will include log-in instructions.
  • Participants are able to participate using any device with an Internet connect (if the device does not have speakers, the participant can also dial-in) or they can participate with audio only by dialing in.
  • All registrants will receive a link to the MAPCast’s recording by email within 48 business hours of event’s conclusion.
  • There will be assistance available to help with technical and connectivity issues up to 10 minutes prior to the start of the presentation.

Registration

All registration is done on-line with the names and email addresses of each individual guest. Log-in details will be emailed to all registrants approximately 1-2 days prior to each session.

Refund Policy

CPAFMA will not issue refunds for MAPCasts. If a registrant is unable to participate in the MAPCast and sends written notice to info@cpafma.org 48 hours prior to the session, a credit will be provided for a future MAPCast. Alert the CPAFMA staff member monitoring the MAPCast if technical difficulties are encountered and technical support will be provided to eliminate problems with future MAPCasts.

Additional Information

Live participation is required for CPE credit and polling questions must be answered to show active participation. All registrants will receive an email following the session with links to the slides and/or handouts, and a link to the MAPCast recording (unless otherwise stated). If you are unable to participate in the live session, you can still watch the recorded session, but you will not be eligible for CPE credits.
