Course Description

Those managing accounting firms and responsible for human resources rely heavily on interviews to ensure that we hire the best candidates. Yet how many times have our efforts fallen short? Did we ask the right questions? Did they tell us the truth? Or is hiring just a roll of the dice and hope? It is even more difficult today because so much of the hiring process isn’t conducted in-person. Many of the in-person signals and cues are no longer available over a video conference. Add to that the fact that the profession is in transition as a result of technology, client expectations and the need to include and diversify staff across gender and ethnicity. Perhaps better interviewing will make the big difference to hire more successfully.

Rita Keller and Guy Gage have over 50 years of interviewing experience and have learned some valuable lessons—often the hard way. Through a give-and-take conversation, we would like to give you the best lessons learned that will improve your interviewing skills so you can find the best candidates for your firm.
