Course Description

With the sudden and jolting push to remote work across the country, cybersecurity has never been more important. As coronavirus scams explode, and the number of breaches takes an alarming rise, now is the perfect time to re-focus on how to maximize the safety of your firm, and your clients. This MAPCast will focus on:

Presenter and Moderator Bios
Joseph E. Brunsman is a former IT and graduated from the United States Naval Academy with a bachelor's degree in robotics. In 2019, he completed his Master of Science in Law in Cybersecurity Law from the Francis King Carey School of Law. He is the Vice President and Chief Content Officer of Chesapeake Professional Liability Brokers in Annapolis, Maryland. Joe is also the author of three best-selling books on insurance and numerous magazine articles published throughout the country.

Daniel W. Hudson, CPCU is a United States Naval Academy graduate with an MBA from the University of North Florida. Dan has specialized in insurance solutions for CPAs for over 30 years. He holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation. He is the co-author of three best-selling books on insurance as well as numerous articles in various magazines. In 1995, he founded Chesapeake Professional Liability Brokers, Inc. Dan served as a Naval Flight Officer, flying more than 550 missions in the U.S. Navy submarine hunter, P-3C Orion. He conducted worldwide, anti-submarine, littoral warfare and counter-narcotics operations. He served as the Commanding Officer of Patrol Squadron Six-Four (VP-64), earning the prestigious Battle "E." Dan retired as a Navy Captain.

Cost

Delivery System

  • All programs are delivered using the Zoom platform.
  • Confirmations will include log-in instructions.
  • Participants are able to participate using any device with an Internet connect (if the device does not have speakers, the participant can also dial-in) or they can participate with audio only by dialing in.
  • All registrants will receive a link to the MAPCast’s recording by email within 48 business hours of event’s conclusion.
  • There will be assistance available to help with technical and connectivity issues up to 10 minutes prior to the start of the presentation.

Registration

All registration is done on-line with the names and email addresses of each individual guest. Log-in details will be emailed to all registrants approximately 1-2 days prior to each session.

Refund Policy

CPAFMA will not issue refunds for MAPCasts. If a registrant is unable to participate in the MAPCast and sends written notice to info@cpafma.org 48 hours prior to the session, a credit will be provided for a future MAPCast. Alert the CPAFMA staff member monitoring the MAPCast if technical difficulties are encountered and technical support will be provided to eliminate problems with future MAPCasts.

Additional Information

Live participation is required for CPE credit and polling questions must be answered to show active participation. All registrants will receive an email following the session with links to the slides and/or handouts, and a link to the MAPCast recording (unless otherwise stated). If you are unable to participate in the live session, you can still watch the recorded session, but you will not be eligible for CPE credits.
