Course Description

This session will address how to share critical information with rising stars who are demanding greater transparency about the Firm. Leadership development begins with transparency. This session will discuss the firm structure, the path to leadership and how this is interwoven with firm economics. From key profit drivers to revenue, expenses and metrics to benchmarking to billing and collections to client/engagement management, this session will explain how a better understanding of the firm’s economics will translate to greater transparency.

Presenter and Moderator Bios
Bill Pirolli is a partner in the multi-disciplinary accounting and financial services organization, The Bentley Group. Comprised of DiSanto Priest & Co., CPA’s and affiliates Bentley Wealth Management, Bentley Consulting Group, and the Bentley Foundation. The Bentley Group provides leading edge accounting, business advisory, technology, financial planning and wealth management services to a diverse client group. Mr. Pirolli is the former director of Firm Administration for DiSanto Priest & Co. CPA’s. Bill maintains an active client base and focuses his efforts in the area of Trusted Advisor Services such as estate and succession planning, strategic business planning, financing, litigation support as well as traditional tax, accounting and advisory services. Bill has a long history of civic, community and professional volunteer activities. He has served on the AICPA MAP Committee, the AICPA Small Firm Advocacy Committee, AICPA Council, the AICPA Nominating committee, the AICPA Relations with the Bar Association Committee, is Past Chair of the Practitioners Planning Committee of the Practitioners/Tech conference and is Past Chair of The AICPA/PCPS Executive Committee, serving that committee for nine years. Bill is also past president of the Rhode Island Society of CPA’s, having served on numerous committees over his 20 years of volunteer service and is past president of the Central Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce. He is appointed to the Board of Directors of the AICPA with a term beginning in October 2015 through May 2019. Bill is a frequent local and national speaker on issues related to the future of the accounting profession and firm practice management. He also provides strategic planning services to accounting and law firms, private businesses and non-profit organizations.

Delivery System

  • All programs are delivered using the Zoom platform.
  • Confirmations will include log-in instructions.
  • Participants are able to participate using any device with an Internet connect (if the device does not have speakers, the participant can also dial-in) or they can participate with audio only by dialing in.
  • All registrants will receive a link to the MAPCast’s recording by email within 48 business hours of event’s conclusion.
  • There will be assistance available to help with technical and connectivity issues up to 10 minutes prior to the start of the presentation.

Registration

All registration is done on-line with the names and email addresses of each individual guest. Log-in details will be emailed to all registrants approximately 1-2 days prior to each session.

Refund Policy

CPAFMA will not issue refunds for MAPCasts. If a registrant is unable to participate in the MAPCast and sends written notice to info@cpafma.org 48 hours prior to the session, a credit will be provided for a future MAPCast. Alert the CPAFMA staff member monitoring the MAPCast if technical difficulties are encountered and technical support will be provided to eliminate problems with future MAPCasts.

Additional Information

Live participation is required for CPE credit and polling questions must be answered to show active participation. All registrants will receive an email following the session with links to the slides and/or handouts, and a link to the MAPCast recording (unless otherwise stated). If you are unable to participate in the live session, you can still watch the recorded session, but you will not be eligible for CPE credits.
