Course Description

Is your firm on the “bleeding” or stable edge of paperless technology? ...Or is your technology so outdated that you are missing out entirely? Find out what digital technologies your peer firms are utilizing this upcoming busy season from CPAFMA Advisory Board Member Roman H. Kepczyk as he presents the findings of the 2017 Paperless Benchmark Survey just completed in December and sponsored by Canon ImageFORUMULA Document Scanners. Roman will not only discuss tax department findings that firms are using this year, but also cover audit and accounting, administration, and information technology benchmarks, as well as recommendations on trends and products he is predicting will impact the year ahead! All participants will receive a copy of the findings following this 60-minute MAPCast.

Presenter and Moderator Bios
Roman Kepczyk is Director of Consulting for Xcentric. His primary focus is helping firms throughout North America effectively use information technology by optimizing their tax, audit and administrative production workflows. Roman offers over 25 years of CPA firm experience where he has thrived as a technology consultant and as a former partner at one of the largest firms in Arizona. He is an Advisory Board Member to the CPA Firm Management Association, former Chairman of the AICPA Information Technology Executive Committee and a former member of the PCPS Executive Committee. Roman has been recognized in INSIDE Public Accounting’s “Most Recommended Consultants” to the profession from 2004-2016, CPA Practice Advisor’s “Top 25 Thought Leaders” from 2011-2016, and Accounting Today’s “Top 100 Most Influential People in Accounting” for eleven years. Roman is also a CPA.CITP, CGMA, PAFM and Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.

Delivery System

  • All programs are delivered using the Zoom platform.
  • Confirmations will include log-in instructions.
  • Participants are able to participate using any device with an Internet connect (if the device does not have speakers, the participant can also dial-in) or they can participate with audio only by dialing in.
  • All registrants will receive a link to the webinar’s recording by email within 48 business hours of event’s conclusion.
  • There will be assistance available to help with technical and connectivity issues up to 10 minutes prior to the start of the presentation.

Registration

All registration is done on-line with the names and email addresses of each individual guest. Log-in details will be emailed to all registrants approximately 1-2 days prior to each session.

Refund Policy

CPAFMA will not issue refunds for webinars. If a registrant is unable to participate in the webinar and sends written notice to info@cpafma.org 48 hours prior to the session, a credit will be provided for a future webinar. Alert the CPAFMA staff member monitoring the webinar if technical difficulties are encountered and technical support will be provided to eliminate problems with future webinars.

Additional Information

Live participation is required for CPE credit and polling questions must be answered to show active participation. All registrants will receive an email following the session with links to the slides and/or handouts, and a link to the webinar recording (unless otherwise stated). If you are unable to participate in the live session, you can still watch the recorded session, but you will not be eligible for CPE credits.
