Course Description

This one-hour webinar will focus on the key areas that high performers require and core performers use to get better. What is it that high performers have that separates them from others? Is it the lucky break they enjoy or do they create their lucky breaks? Is it uniqueness in their gene pool or is it a result of hard work? Are they exceptional only in their particular setting or does their success transfer to other settings? Ultimately, what seperates high performers from others is that, well, they perform. They get things done; they make things happen. They are called on and counted on when something imporant is needed. High performance is less about unique talent or knowledge and more about doing the right things consistently. What do these high performers require? These key requirements can help you retain your best people and this session will provide the answers.

Presenter and Moderator Bios
Guy Gage, III, LPC, CPT is the owner of the PartnersCoach®, a coaching and consulting firm focusing on managers, executives and owners of accounting firms. Holding a license in counseling and a certificate in human performance improvement, he has consulted with and coached CPAs for almost 20 years, guiding them to increase their effectiveness and career satisfaction. Borrowing from the science of human behavior and leadership, Guy trains, guides and coaches individuals and teams to set ambitious goals, make plans to achieve them, and then execute them to reality. His coaching identifies the perspectives, behavior and dynamics that interfere with achieving results and how to break through them. His processes, tools and performance aids equip people and teams to achieve outstanding results consistently. Guy began his career as a clinical therapist working with executives and their families. He expanded his services to include soft-skills training for managers and strategic planning facilitation to management teams. In the early 1990’s, he left the therapy world and devoted himself to his passion: equipping people to discover their professional best-self. He specializes in assessing motivational and behavioral capabilities of people to perform in their work setting and identifying the barriers and constraints that inhibit or prevent high performance. In 1999, Guy expanded his private practice further and joined Troy Waugh and The Rainmaker Academy, an international leadership and marketing training firm for accountants. For 10 years he served as a Senior Instructor with the Academy, training and coaching hundreds of accountants in the USA and Europe to generate millions of dollars in revenue for their firms. In 2001, following a successful consulting practice, Guy joined Toothman Rice, PLLC, a 4 office accounting firm in north-central West Virginia. Over the course of 7½ years, he held responsibilities in HR, marketing and firm development as the firm doubled in revenue and tripled its profitability while increasing staff size about 25%. Guy is a graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College and Marshall University Graduate College. His affiliations include the International Society for Performance Improvement, the American Mental Health Counselors Association and the West Virginia Licensed Professional Counselors Association.
