Course Description

In this webinar, we will explore the specific risks facing accounting firms and what insurance coverage options may be best for your practice. We will discuss where there may be gaps in your coverage and where your firm may be over-insured. And, we will take a look at the following types of policies to help you determine if the insurance coverage would be beneficial to your firm: Professional Liability Insurance, Commercial Crime Coverage, Cyber Liability and Data Breach Response Insurance , Commercial vs Personal Umbrella, Commercial General Liability, Employment Practices Liability and a Business Owners Policy.

Presenter and Moderator Bios
Rob Ferrini is McGowanPRO's Cyber Liability/Data Breach Response Program Manager. He has also served as an accountant's professional liability underwriter and he has more than 20 years of insurance industry experience.
Rob is a regular presenter on risk management and professional liability insurance. He has spoken nationally on Information Security and data breach coverage, best practices and mitigating the risk of a data breach with Information Security/Cyber Liability insurance.

His past experience includes owning and operating several small businesses in both retail and service industries. Rob also serves on the board of several local non-profit organizations, including the Neponset Valley Chamber of Commerce, Trinity Community Church and the Neponset Valley Elder Care Alliance.

Delivery System

  • All programs are delivered using the Zoom platform.
  • Confirmations will include log-in instructions.
  • Participants are able to participate using any device with an Internet connect (if the device does not have speakers, the participant can also dial-in) or they can participate with audio only by dialing in.
  • All registrants will receive a link to the MAPCast’s recording by email within 48 business hours of event’s conclusion.
  • There will be assistance available to help with technical and connectivity issues up to 10 minutes prior to the start of the presentation.

Registration

All registration is done on-line with the names and email addresses of each individual guest. Log-in details will be emailed to all registrants approximately 1-2 days prior to each session.

Refund Policy

CPAFMA will not issue refunds for MAPCasts. If a registrant is unable to participate in the MAPCast and sends written notice to info@cpafma.org 48 hours prior to the session, a credit will be provided for a future MAPCast. Alert the CPAFMA staff member monitoring the MAPCast if technical difficulties are encountered and technical support will be provided to eliminate problems with future MAPCasts.

Additional Information

Live participation is required for CPE credit and polling questions must be answered to show active participation. All registrants will receive an email following the session with links to the slides and/or handouts, and a link to the MAPCast recording (unless otherwise stated). If you are unable to participate in the live session, you can still watch the recorded session, but you will not be eligible for CPE credits.

CPE Credits
CPAFMA is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.
