Course Description

This MAPCast will look at ways to right-size your capacity, aligning the work load you anticipate in the coming months. It will address:

• returning to the basics of finance and marketing management strategies
• various right sizings options including mandatory no overtime, reduced work weeks, and staff reductions
• communication strategies around each of these options
• strategies to retain your best and brightest during this period of uncertainty
• motivating your team to do what they can to contribute to the firm's health and success

Presenter and Moderator Bios
Jennifer Wilson is co-founder and partner of ConvergenceCoaching, LLC, a national leadership and marketing consulting firm dedicated to helping CPA and IT firms achieve success by helping themdevelop and implement leadership, succession, marketing, and training and development plans. Jennifer’s ultimate goal is to make a transformational difference in the lives of her clients and in their businesses.

Named to Accounting Today’s 100 Most Influential People in Accounting list and one of Accounting Technology magazine’s Technology Stars, Jennifer has worked in both the public accounting and IT sectors before co-founding ConvergenceCoaching, LLC.

As a partner for the top ten accounting firm, BDO Seidman, LLP, Jennifer ran the National Financial Solutions Group practice with nearly 100 consultants providing financial systems selection, implementation, and support services to clients. Prior to BDO Seidman, Jennifer was Vice President of Sales and Customer Services for State Of The Art, Inc. (now known as Sage Software, Inc.) where she was responsible for the publicly-traded software publisher’s marketing, sales, education, and customer services functions. Instrumental in implementing the company’s highly successful CPA marketing programs, Jennifer assisted in recruiting tens of thousands of CPAs to State Of The Art.

Jennifer is a member of the Association for Accounting Administration (AAA), Association for Accounting Marketing (AAM), American Marketing Association, and International Coach Federation. She is a past Board member and among the founding members of the Information Technology Alliance (ITA) and has been both Chair and member of the planning committee for the AICPA TECH Conference. Jennifer is an active volunteer in the profession and currently serves on the Education Committee for AAM and as a member of the Bill.com Advisory Board.

Jennifer is also a member of the New Horizon Group, a forum for leading consultants to the accounting profession. She serves on the editorial advisory board and is a regular guest columnist for Accounting Today with many recently published articles on leadership, management, and sales.

She is a nationally recognized speaker, teacher, and facilitator delivering leadership and marketing programs to accounting and technology associations, state societies, and firms on a regular basis.

Cost
$25.00 for CPAFMA Members / $40.00 for Non-Members / Free for PAFMs

Delivery System

  • All programs are delivered using the Zoom platform.
  • Confirmations will include log-in instructions.
  • Participants are able to participate using any device with an Internet connect (if the device does not have speakers, the participant can also dial-in) or they can participate with audio only by dialing in.
  • All registrants will receive a link to the MAPCast’s recording by email within 48 business hours of event’s conclusion.
  • There will be assistance available to help with technical and connectivity issues up to 10 minutes prior to the start of the presentation.

Registration

All registration is done on-line with the names and email addresses of each individual guest. Log-in details will be emailed to all registrants approximately 1-2 days prior to each session.

Refund Policy

CPAFMA will not issue refunds for MAPCasts. If a registrant is unable to participate in the MAPCast and sends written notice to info@cpafma.org 48 hours prior to the session, a credit will be provided for a future MAPCast. Alert the CPAFMA staff member monitoring the MAPCast if technical difficulties are encountered and technical support will be provided to eliminate problems with future MAPCasts.

Additional Information

Live participation is required for CPE credit and polling questions must be answered to show active participation. All registrants will receive an email following the session with links to the slides and/or handouts, and a link to the MAPCast recording (unless otherwise stated). If you are unable to participate in the live session, you can still watch the recorded session, but you will not be eligible for CPE credits.
