Course Description

Is your firm on the “bleeding” or stable edge of being a digitally driven firm? ...Or is your technology always lagging? Find out what digital technologies and evolving trends your peer firms are utilizing this upcoming busy season from CPAFMA Advisory Board Member Roman H. Kepczyk as he presents the findings of the 2019 CPAFMA Digitally Driven Firm Survey - formerly the CPAFMA Paperless Benchmarking Survey, the longest running paperless benchmarking survey in the accounting profession. This update, completed in December, will provide you and your firm with the valuable, consistent benchmarking this survey is known to provide. Roman will not only discuss tax department findings that firms are using this year, but also cover audit and accounting, administration, and information technology benchmarks, as well as recommendations on trends and products he is predicting will impact the year ahead! All MAPCast participants will receive a copy of the results following this 45-minute MAPCast.

Presenter and Moderator Bios
Accounting technology leader Roman Kepczyk, CPA.CITP, LSS BB, PAFM, recently named to Accounting Today’s list of "Top 100 Influential People" for the 13th year, has expanded his role with Right Networks as Director of Firm Technology Strategy. Roman, a veteran of Xcentric, which was acquired by Right Networks in 2017, has spent more than 30 years helping firms throughout North America effectively use information technology and accounting applications to optimize their tax, audit and administrative production workflows. He will extend that expertise in an expanded role with Right Networks focused on both continuing to guide the firms on their journey to the cloud and providing firm input to inform the evolution of Right Networks offers. Roman was named by INSIDE Public Accounting as one of the profession’s "Most Recommended Consultants" for each of the years from 2005 through 2017, and CPA Practice Advisors' "Top 25 Thought Leaders" from 2011 through 2018. He is also an Advisory Board Member to the CPA Firm Management Association and has served on the Board of Directors of the Arizona Society of CPAs. On a technical level, Roman is an AICPA Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP) and a Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (LSS BB).

Delivery System

• All programs are delivered using the Zoom platform.
• Confirmations will include log-in instructions.
• Participants are able to participate using any device with an Internet connect (if the device does not have speakers, the participant can also dial-in) or they can participate with audio only by dialing in.
• All registrants will receive a link to the MAPCast’s recording by email within 48 business hours of event’s conclusion.
• There will be assistance available to help with technical and connectivity issues up to 10 minutes prior to the start of the presentation.

Registration

All registration is done on-line with the names and email addresses of each individual guest. Log-in details will be emailed to all registrants approximately 1-2 days prior to each session.

Refund Policy

CPAFMA will not issue refunds for MAPCasts. If a registrant is unable to participate in the MAPCast and sends written notice to info@cpafma.org 48 hours prior to the session, a credit will be provided for a future MAPCast. Alert the CPAFMA staff member monitoring the MAPCast if technical difficulties are encountered and technical support will be provided to eliminate problems with future MAPCasts.

Additional Information

Live participation is required for CPE credit and polling questions must be answered to show active participation. All registrants will receive an email following the session with links to the slides and/or handouts, and a link to the MAPCast recording (unless otherwise stated). If you are unable to participate in the live session, you can still watch the recorded session, but you will not be eligible for CPE credits.
