Course Description

Presenter and Moderator Bios
Rita Keller

Rita Keller is a shareholder with Brady, Ware & Schoenfeld, an Ohio/Indiana regional firm with over 100 team members. She serves as the firm’s chief operating officer and has over 26 years’ experience in the management and administration of a successful firm. During her time at BWS, the organization has grown from a small local accounting firm to a nationally recognized regional leader, moving from a compliance-focused organization to a team of business advisors offering a diverse menu of services. She is one of a very limited number of non-CPA shareholders in the nation focused on CPA firm management.

Rita is nationally known for her leadership skills and expertise in CPA firm management, marketing and administration. She works with associations and firms throughout the country specializing in creative ways to attract and retain successful team members, unique and proactive marketing activities for the local firm, developing the role of the firm administrator and/or the Chief Operating Officer, providing awesome client service, developing systems that work, team advisory boards, client advisory boards, nurturing future partners and partner team-building.

Rita served on the national Board of Directors of The Association for Accounting Administration and served two terms as national president. She is also past-president of the Indiana Chapter of AAA and was a cofounder of the Ohio Chapter. Rita also served on the Ohio Society MAP Committee and is currently a member of the Board of Directors of 535 Metro a subsidiary of the Ohio Society. Rita currently serves on the AICPA Practitioners’ Symposium Planning Committee, Chairman of the AICPA Staffing Forum 2005 and is on the advisory board of CCH Practice Management Report. Rita is often quoted and published in CPA firm management publications. She was recently featured on the cover of The Practical Accountant and is often quoted in publications like Accounting Today and CPA Personnel Report.

She has been featured in the Journal of Accountancy twice (September 1999 and September 1997). As a facilitator and speaker, Rita has been featured at The Association for Accounting Administration National Conference, The AICPA Practitioners’ Symposium, The AICPA Leadership Forum, Upstream Academy’s Best Practices Conference and many more. Rita has also facilitated planning retreats for associations focused on CPA firm management and works with individual firms on management issues. She especially enjoys working with CPA firm teams to identify ways to provide awesome client service. In her role with BWS, she also consults with medical practices and law firms and leads the firm’s Technology Committee and Human Resources Advisors Group.

Rita is an active volunteer at the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce, serving on two committees, and is on the Board of the Dayton YWCA where she also chairs the Professional Women’s Learning Series Committee. She also serves on the planning committee of The Executive Women’s Roundtable and on the advisory board of Miami Jacobs Career College.

Delivery System

  • All programs are delivered using the Zoom platform.
  • Confirmations will include log-in instructions.
  • Participants are able to participate using any device with an Internet connect (if the device does not have speakers, the participant can also dial-in) or they can participate with audio only by dialing in.
  • All registrants will receive a link to the MAPCast’s recording by email within 48 business hours of event’s conclusion.
  • There will be assistance available to help with technical and connectivity issues up to 10 minutes prior to the start of the presentation.

Registration

All registration is done on-line with the names and email addresses of each individual guest. Log-in details will be emailed to all registrants approximately 1-2 days prior to each session.

Refund Policy

CPAFMA will not issue refunds for MAPCasts. If a registrant is unable to participate in the MAPCast and sends written notice to info@cpafma.org 48 hours prior to the session, a credit will be provided for a future MAPCast. Alert the CPAFMA staff member monitoring the MAPCast if technical difficulties are encountered and technical support will be provided to eliminate problems with future MAPCasts.

Additional Information

Live participation is required for CPE credit and polling questions must be answered to show active participation. All registrants will receive an email following the session with links to the slides and/or handouts, and a link to the MAPCast recording (unless otherwise stated). If you are unable to participate in the live session, you can still watch the recorded session, but you will not be eligible for CPE credits.
