Mindfulness/Stress Management

Course Level: Basic
Field of Study: Personal Development
Credit Hours: Participants can earn up to 2 hour of CPE
Prerequisite and Advanced Preparation: None
Delivery Method: Group Internet

Despite our best efforts, we can’t control others or the world. The only thing we can control is our thoughts. Mindfulness is a toll that enables you to be fully focused, right here, in the present moment. In turn, it helps to release worries about the past and anxieties about the future, as well as help manage stress. Mindfulness is an evidence-based practice that is free. It can be used at any time and anywhere. Join members of CPAFMA’s Ohio Chapter and learn how simple practices can enhance your life.

This course will be taught by Carrie Schilling, RN and Licensed Massage Therapist of Kettering Health Network.

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn how to be fully focused in the present moment.
  • Learn how an evidence-based practice is defined.
  • Learn when an evidence-based practice can be used and when it best enhances your life.
