We give everyone 4 "birthday hours" to use for a half day off around their birthday. Those of us with birthday's during tax season, can take ours after April 15. This has been very well received.

We celebrate the monthly birthdays at our staff meeting. Everyone is there, the birthday person gets to choose the treat, and they get a card signed by all staff.

We are a firm of 20. We get a cake for each persons birthday. The entire office gather in the kitchen, we sing Happy Birthday and eat cake, whatever type of cake the birthday person likes.

We are a firm of 160 employees. As of now we are giving staff a birthday card with two movie tickets. As we have grown it has become harder for the office assistant to keep up with distributing them within the office. We found that with Regal cinemas we can set up digital gift cards that will be emailed to the staff members on their birthday for a monetary dollar amount. We can customize the card with our birthday wishes. I think we are going to move to this option so now we can set them up on the first of each month to get sent out on the staff's birthday without having to distribute within the office on several different days. The monetary value could also then be used for tickets or snacks.

We have 40+ employees. We order a DQ cake and/or Dilly bars to celebrate birthdays on a monthly basis. Those who have a birthday that month are recognized at that afternoon gathering. We don't regularly take breaks so this is an opportunity to bring people together for a quick celebration and team building opportunity.
