The CPA Firm Management Association is structured as a network of local chapters throughout the country. CPAFMA supports local chapters by helping them organize, by jointly sponsoring local programming and by providing financial resources, information and speakers to local groups. Although it takes ten members in an area to receive an official charter, CPAFMA encourages firm managers to start local discussion groups to create a regular, frequent dialogue among those managing accounting firms in a particular location. Chapters hold regularly scheduled programs and events and many are active participants in individual state societies, community groups and affiliated organizations.
