Understanding Cloud Options for CPA Firms

Published on May 15, 2019 by Morris Tabush

If you’re a small CPA firm (think 10-50 employees), your IT scenario is probably as follows: You have a local IT consultant or MSP that you rely on and trust to help you make the right IT decisions for your firm. Perhaps you have someone in-house to help with desktop support (either a dedicated person or the employee who is stuck being the go-to for support in addition to his or her regular job), and every so often, when faced with an IT problem (outage, security breach or employee complaint) or large expense (repair, replacement, or upgrade), you find yourself wondering if there’s a better way.

Lessons Learned: The Checklist Manifesto - How to Get Things Right

Published on May 13, 2019

For more than two decades, our singular focus has been to partner with CPA firms to identify and implement digital tools and processes so those firms can more effectively serve clients.  Busy seasons provide a respite where we “sharpen the saw” with advanced technical training, profession/peer topic exploration, reviewing new applications, and re-visiting existing solutions. Eight Reasons CPA Firms Should Consider Moving to the Cloud

Published on May 13, 2019 by Roman H. Kepczyk, Right Networks

The 2018 CPA Firm Management Association (CPAFMA.org) IT Benchmark Survey found that more than half of responding association member firms had moved the majority of their applications and IT Infrastructure to cloud/hosted application providers instead of building and maintaining networks themselves.  Read below as to why this trend is accelerating and why your firm should be considering the move before you replace your existing servers:

Traditional server farms and IT departments are being “uberized” and replaced with cloud applications and hosted service providers at an increasing rate.  Don’t let your firm get locked into expensive and possibly obsolete hardware and IT support before considering cloud options.
