Course Description

Discuss trends in mergers and acquisitions in CPA firms. What are firms looking for? What are the new players in the marketplace? What are orphan firms and what can we learn from them?

Presenter and Moderator Bios
David Wolfskehl’s role is to ensure the success of our team as well as create and deliver coaching and training programs that will help our clients reach their goals. David has been an entrepreneur and a guide for entrepreneurs throughout his adult life. After graduation from the University of Arizona, David started A Bridgewater Copy and Print. Remaining within the printing industry for the next 17 years, David next started In A Bind, and merged his operation with Action Fast Print. Action Fast Print became the second largest quick printer in New Jersey for 2002 -2004, according to NJBIZ. He is the author of The Micro Niche Method:The Pathway to Premium Pricing and Increased Profitability for Today’s CPAs and The Micro Niche Method: Narrow Focus Big Results (Volume 1), The Micro Niche Method is a process that brings Business development success to professional services firms – We have a focus on CPA’s and other consulting practices. John Raspante is currently a member of NJSCPA where he serves on the accounting and auditing interest group and the editorial advisory board. He is also a member of the AICPA, Connecticut Society of CPAs and the NYSSCPAs where he serves on the Succession Planning Committee. John served as the President of the South Jersey Chapter of NCCPAP. In addition to Merger & Acquisition, Talent Acquisition and Training and Coaching, John will be expanding WBAs services by spearheading a Risk Management Consulting Resources offering. John, a Cyber-liability specialist will be providing intense education to Whitman Business Advisors clients and CPA firms Nationwide. John has both written and spoken extensively on CPA firm professional ethics education and will continue this at WBA. Before joining Whitman Business Advisors John served as Director of Risk Management for CPA Protector Plan a division of Brown & Brown. Prior to that role John served in similar positions with North American Professional Liability Insurance Agency and Camico. John also served as Compliance and Education Director at Graf Repetti, a Top 200 CPA firm. Previously, John was a sole practitioner offering multiple services to a diverse clientele in the NY tri-state area.

Cost
$25.00 for CPAFMA Members / $40.00 for Non-Members / Free for PAFMs

Delivery System

  • All programs are delivered using the Zoom platform.
  • Confirmations will include log-in instructions.
  • Participants are able to participate using any device with an Internet connect (if the device does not have speakers, the participant can also dial-in) or they can participate with audio only by dialing in.
  • All registrants will receive a link to the MAPCast’s recording by email within 48 business hours of event’s conclusion.
  • There will be assistance available to help with technical and connectivity issues up to 10 minutes prior to the start of the presentation.

Registration

All registration is done on-line with the names and email addresses of each individual guest. Log-in details will be emailed to all registrants approximately 1-2 days prior to each session.

Refund Policy

CPAFMA will not issue refunds for MAPCasts. If a registrant is unable to participate in the MAPCast and sends written notice to info@cpafma.org 48 hours prior to the session, a credit will be provided for a future MAPCast. Alert the CPAFMA staff member monitoring the MAPCast if technical difficulties are encountered and technical support will be provided to eliminate problems with future MAPCasts.

Additional Information

Live participation is required for CPE credit and polling questions must be answered to show active participation. All registrants will receive an email following the session with links to the slides and/or handouts, and a link to the MAPCast recording (unless otherwise stated). If you are unable to participate in the live session, you can still watch the recorded session, but you will not be eligible for CPE credits.
